The Investment

  • In my photography journey, capturing numerous weddings, portraits and events over the years, I can confidently say that I know firsthand how impactful photographs can be. Beyond settings, lighting, location or composition, photographs can ultimately embody the intricacies of relationships and moments that define each wedding or event uniquely. They evoke the joy of the little memories had on your special day, preserving goosebump-worthy emotions and laughter. And even though life can be a bit crazy and uncertain at times, if my photographs can transport you back to every joyous moment or heartfelt interaction or even be a source of light in a dark time, then I’ve done my job. Take the time to choose someone who prioritizes documenting the kinds of moments that matter the most to you. It's a pretty big job, which is why I believe it’s one that's well worth the investment. Regardless of what you decide, I encourage you to make your wedding photographs a priority.

 FAQs

  • I live in Perth, Western Australia with my wife, Alesha, and two daughters Zara & Zoe. I was born in Ontario, Canada but have been living here and loving life in Australia since 2019. I can confidently say that I am blessed to call this place home.

  • My turnaround period is actually pretty short. Depending on the season it can be between 1-3 weeks. I try to get galleries back to clients as quickly as possible.

  • If it is within your budget, it is never a bad idea. Having an extra set of eyes to document your day will only result in seeing certain moments from the day from a different perspective. With that said, about 50% of the weddings I photograph every year are shot solo. I'm pretty comfortable shooting either way. However, there are instances where I will definitely recommend one (if something requires me to be in two places at once, I may need some help there πŸ˜‰ ).

  • There is probably not going to be another time when you will have all of your friends & family in the same place at the same time. Being a Canadian in Australia I know first-hand how much of a special time it is when you really think about that aspect of it. I want you to be able to spend time with those important people as much as possible. In some instances, it makes sense to focus only a small amount of time on portraits during the wedding day and instead go out the next day just the three of us and shoot for a couple hours. Couples are always a lot less stressed during these sessions because there is no timeline, no family to get back to, and no schedule. You can relax and enjoy each other free of distractions.

  • Most couples book me for 8 or 10 hours of coverage. 6 hours is doable but in rare circumstances. 8 hours will generally allow for coverage of the tail end of getting ready through 30 minutes of open dancing during the reception. 10 hours will give a bit more coverage to those items on the end (getting ready & open dancing/an exit). If you feel stuck and not sure what you need, reach out and I'd be happy to go through a few sample timelines and recommend how many hours of coverage would be best for you.

  • To reserve your date I require a signed contract and a 25% retainer payment. Unfortunately, I cannot hold any dates until these both are received. The remaining amount is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding day.
